Jubilee Year
"Hope and kindness touch the very heart of the gospel and show us the path to follow in our behaviour. A world full of hope and kindness is a more beautiful world."
Pope Francis
Jubilee Year 2025 is a special time of celebration, reflection, and renewal in the Catholic Church. It is a time to deepen our faith, show kindness to others, and embrace the theme of "Pilgrims of Hope." At Our Lady of Grace Infants, our children will take part in this significant year through prayer, acts of service, and learning about the importance of forgiveness and unity. They will engage in special assemblies, charity projects, and creative activities that reflect the spirit of the Jubilee, helping them grow in faith and compassion.
Jubilee Launch Day
At OLOG Infants, the children enthusiastically took part in the CAFOD Big Lent Walk, showing their commitment to helping others during the holy season of Lent. Each step they took was an act of love and solidarity with communities around the world who are in need. As it is the Jubilee Year, a special time when the Church invites us to live out justice, mercy, and hope, the children’s walk was a meaningful way to respond to this call. By walking together in faith, they are living as active witnesses of God's love in action
CAFOD Big Lent Walk
The children at OLOG Infants took part in the Stations of the Cross, walking prayerfully through each station to reflect on the journey Jesus took to the cross. They showed great reverence as they listened, prayed, and thought about how much Jesus loves us. Taking part in the Stations during the Jubilee Year was especially meaningful, as this holy year calls us to grow closer to God through prayer, mercy, and acts of love. By following Jesus’ footsteps in this way, the children are learning to walk in faith and live out the message of hope and compassion at the heart of the Jubilee.
Jubilee Church
During BeSpirited Week, as part of our celebrations for the Feast Day of Our Lady of Grace, the Year 2 children went on a special pilgrimage to Our Lady of Willesden, the Jubilee Church in this Jubilee Year of Hope. It was a meaningful journey where the children deepened their understanding of faith and reflected on the importance of hope, prayer, and devotion to Mary. The visit was a joyful and spiritual highlight of the week, bringing the themes of the Jubilee and Our Lady of Grace together in a memorable way.
